Portland ATF

Greetings,

   Right now, the Portland Acquire the Fire event already has about 1,000 tickets sold! As we get closer to the event, sections will fill up quickly (Section B on the Floor is already sold out) so be sure to register early!

   Here is a layout of the seating in the Rose Quarter so you can plan ahead and reserve the best seats for your youth ministry. If you don’t have all the finances to place an order right now, remember that you can place a Buy Now Pay Later Order which allows you to buy tickets now and pay for them on or before March 27th (see previous blog or call 903-324-7831 for details).

  *Note: Seats for the green and blue sections will be sold in a “U” shape. The remaining sections will not be sold since they are so close to the stage.

   In the Green Seating Sections, the “U” starts with section 26 and goes clockwise around the stadium, stopping with section 15. All the “LL” seating sections included in that shape from sections 26-15 are available as well.

   In the Blue Seating Sections, the “U” starts with section 51 and goes clockwise to section 69.

  Hello Once Again,

    It’s no secret that funds for youth ministry can be hard to come by. Reaching young people is one of the most important jobs in the world, and a shortage of finances can be very discouraging.

  This year, we’ve made things a little easier. With the Buy Now Pay Later plan, you can purchase tickets for the Portland ATF now, and not have to pay for them until March 27th! This is a great option for youth groups that want lock in great seats, but don’t have the finances to pay for the event right away.

  Every Buy Now Pay Later order has to be for at least 20 total tickets. An initial payment for one ticket is needed to create a new BNPL order. After that, you are able to make gradual payments of any amount toward your order, and the remaining balance will be charged to your account on March 27th. Buy Now Pay Later orders are non-refundable.

   Portland Acquire the Fire Director

   This just in! Leeland, the Grammy Award-winning band from Baytown, TX, will be playing at the Portland Acquire the Fire! To listen to music from their latest CD “Opposite Way”, click here!

   Described as “passionate, progressive, and worshipful”, the members of Leeland have a sincere heart for acting out in faith and showing the world the love of Jesus. Their age range is 19-24 years old, which gives them a special ability to relate to young people.

   Personally, I’m a huge fan, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them at the event. Their music focuses on Christ, and I think it will be beneficial for young people to see others close to their own age worshipping God and serving Him with all their hearts.

   Hi, my name is David Warren, and I’m the Regional Director of the Portland Acquire the Fire. April will be here sooner than we know, and I’ve been thinking a lot about how to use the short time that we have left to make the biggest possible impact at the event.

   Something that I’ve been learning is that God’s plan for the Portland event will be accomplished, and nobody can stop Him from reaching teenagers and turning their hearts to Him. I believe this because of an amazing story I read in Acts chapter 5: Recently caught in the temple courts after an angel of the Lord released them from jail, Peter and some other apostles appeared before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest because they were continuing to teach in the name of Jesus, even after receiving strict orders to stay silent.

    When confronted, the apostles again refused to stop being a witness for Christ, which infuriated those who were questioning them. Then a Pharisee told the apostles to leave so that he could address the Sanhedrin privately. He then reminded the Sanhedrin of other troublesome situations that came up in the past and mentioned how each of the other uprisings had failed. This is how he recommended handling those teaching in the name of Jesus: “Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” - Acts 5:38-39

   We’re expecting to see God do unstoppable things in Portland as well! Youth Pastors and Volunteer Youth Leaders have a crucial role in seeing this generation come back to Christ, and also in insuring the success of every Acquire the Fire youth event.
